Online Resources and supports for FSL teachers using On parle ! and Tu parles ! 1

Effective teaching practices and instructional strategies

This online comprehensive resource includes effective teaching practices and instructional strategies that support all student’s learning needs in different classrooms. It is designed to assist teachers with creating a safe and inclusive learning environment, where French as a Second Language (FSL) Learners are valued, empowered, engaged and are able to take risks as they learn French.

Building upon the success of On parle ! and Tu parles ! 1, this Companion Teacher Resource carefully and purposefully bridges material from both resources, including selections from the Student Book, Cahier, audio and video programs to create a program pathway that meets the learning needs of de-streamed Grade 9 Core French classes.

A Companion Teacher Resource for On parle ! and Tu parles ! 1 features:

Each Unit of On parle ! has two Modules, instead of three. The resource suits the needs of grade 9 students in your de-streamed classroom, with a simple, predictable flow of activities and additional models.
