Description
Karine and Antoine, two university students, leave Montreal to work as volunteers in Port-au-Prince. Karine has a passion for helping others, while Antoine is looking for his roots: his grandparents fled Haiti in the 1950s. The two young people experience cultural shock when they come face to face with the level of poverty and misery in Port-au-Prince. And then comes January 12, 2010, as an earthquake hits the capital and surrounding area. Antoine is trapped under a fallen door and suffers several serious fractures. Medical supplies are limited and Karine fears for her friend's life.
