The reading in VISA pour la langue française is designed to stimulate and enrich the student with Canadian and French culture, and topics relevant to their lives. The teacher's guide includes aims and objectives, outcomes, strands and expectations, planning notes, teaching / learning strategies, assessment and evaluation, oral presentation rubrics, final task written project rubrics, answers to the exercises, word searches, mini dialogues and a final language structure and vocabulary test for each unit.

The oral component consists of CDs and a black line master per cycle. One CD contains stories read by different French speaking voices, and two others contain oral listening exercises, oral comprehensions, dictations, and additional vocabulary and grammar exercises.
